Trucks, trains, color and lots of DIY projects are in this room!
Lizzie at Pretty City Things recently finished decorating her son's
big boy room and I'm pleased to share it with you....
Lizzie started with this design board:
Lizzie made the bed frame including the headboard you see below.
You MUST see the bed tutorial - even if you don't want to make
the bed, just see what she did!
Lizzie also embellished the bed linens by sewing ribbon onto the
duvet cover she made from sheets.
Perfect storage and "garage!"
Did you notice these super cute book-ends on the dresser above?
Lizzie's little man picked them out! A future designer!

the ABC print!
I tell you, this momma is a genius! Look at the "S" below,
can you tell how its made? Check out her tutorial!
I just love these colorful lanterns! And they're battery powered -
I think every house should have some!
Lizzie worked with really cool architecture - instead of covering
it up, she let it be a part of the room.
So let's take a look at the BEFORE....
And AFTER....
FABULOUS!!
Last year Lizzie used the Tuesday's Nursery Link Party as incentive
to finish the room. We all know how tedious finishing a project can
be! You run into a snag and are ready to give it up or the room is
80% done and you get started on another project. So Lizzie used
the link party to post updates and mark her progress.
This is exactly how I had intended Tuesday's Nursery party to be
used - as an incentive to keep us going, showing the step by step
progress of our rooms. Most other link parties are for completed
projects, but I want everyone to feel good about stripping
wallpaper, making an idea board or painting a room!
Now head on over to Lizzie's blog Pretty City Things and tell her
what a fab job she did on this room!

Thanks so much for the feature Nan! And so glad to hear Tuesday's Nursery is coming back - it'll get me moving on our baby daughter's room too!
All the best,
Lizzie :)
It looks gorgeous I love the white with pops of color. Such a happy room!
